Install CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link on the local PC

On each local PC a small application has to be installed - CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link. It connects to the TAPI driver and sends the phone information to the Mirage Cloud Service.

•Download CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link (Version: 5.7.2)

•Launch the installer only from a local hard disk and not from a network drive

•You can automate the installation process. See Automated Software Distribution

•.NET 4.5.1 is automatically installed in case it is missing

During the first launch of the application, you have to type in the Salesforce Login credentials. This is only necessary once. The login credentials are typically the E-Mail address.

The login credentials are saved per Windows Account. Only if another user logs on the same PC using the same Windows account, you have to type in the data again (right mouse click on the blue icon and select Salesforce Login)

For security reasons a 20 digit ID is recommended which is known only to you. Generate ID (external Web service)

This automatic generated ID consists of numbers and uppercase characters and works with all connectors.

To use this feature you have to enable own Login ID. The Salesforce administrator should store the login ID with each user so that no further login ID entry is required.

Necessary Rights

During installation DLLs are registered. The user who installs the application needs a right to register DLLs.

The user who runs the application needs the following rights on the installation folder:

•Files cdcsfe.xml and cdcsfe.lic: read and write access

•All other files: read access

Proxy Server

If the access to the Mirage Cloud service is blocked by a firewall, a proxy server can be defined. Proceed as follows:

•Edit file C:\Program Files (x86)\CTI Data Connector for Salesforce 5\octi\CDCOCTI.exe.config

•Add the following configuration

If you are unsure, which CTI Data Connector SoftPhone or CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link / CTI Data Connector - Skype for Business Link you have installed, just hover over the headline: CTI Data Connector in the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application. The version number is displayed.

SoftPhone version

The first entry with SoftPhone is the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application version number. Latest version is 7.4017.13.

Connector or Server version

The second entry is the connector or Server version

•TLC (CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link). The latest version is 5.7.2. For CTI Data Connector - Skype for Business Link the latest version number is 5.7.0).

•TLC x.x (uaCSTA) is displayed when an Desk Phone with Mirage uaCSTA Cloud Connect is used. This is for informational purpose only

The CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application is updated regularly. We recommend checking for updates once per month.

•A CTI user license is required

•For each CTI user license only 1 CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link can be registered
