Enable Debug Logging
Enable debug logging to capture what Unaric Sidebar does while a problem happens and share it with us. Logs are product running data that help us troubleshoot issues and fix them faster.
Enable debug mode
- Click the Menu button (☰ icon) at the top right of Unaric Sidebar.
- Select Settings.
- Under Features, enable Debug mode and click Save.
Log the issue
- Go back to the page where the issue happens with Unaric Sidebar open. A debug panel will appear at the bottom of Unaric Sidebar.
- Debug information on this issue must be isolated. Hence, if debug already shows any info, click Clear debug info.
- To create a debug log, you must reproduce the issue. Repeat the steps that caused it.; for example, open the same email and click the same button. The debug panel will fill up as you go and show errors in red, plus other info below them. This information will persist even if you close Unaric Sidebar and reopen it.
Email us the debug log
- After reproducing the steps that caused the issue, click Copy debug info. The info is copied to your clipboard.
- Create a new email to our support team at [email protected] and paste the debug info. For context, add a short note indicating:
- What you clicked
- What you expected
- Roughly at what time it happened.
- Optional: Screenshot of the error.
- When you are done, turn Debug mode off again: ☰ menu › Settings › click Debug mode to remove the tick and Save. The debug panel will be hidden.
