configure profiles salesforce profiles are the main way to manage access to unaric reports you can enable and disable users with specific salesforce profiles from logging in to unaric reports even if their profile is disabled, all users can still use the direct links to solutions enable profile based access control navigate to configure > settings check configure profiles select the profiles to provide access under enabled profiles use the ctrl key to select multiple profiles if no profile is selected, all profiles will be enabled you can also select which profiles to disable access under disabled profiles if you don't select any profiles, no profiles will be disabled click save to finish profile access restrictions not being applied if profile based login restrictions in unaric reports aren’t working as expected, it may be a user’s profile in salesforce can’t be determined querying the profile object requires the view setup and configuration permission if the profiles you want to restrict don’t have this permission, unaric reports is unable to determine the profile a user has and therefore can't determine whether to allow those users to log in to allow profile based access control without granting additional permissions in salesforce, create a formula field on the user object that returns the profile id make this field visible to all profiles you need to disable in unaric reports, navigate to configure > settings check configure profiles in the profile id field name text field, enter the api name of the formula field you created hide subscription tab from non admins by default, all users have the ability to access the subscription page to set up that only administrators can view and update the unaric reports subscription navigate to configure > settings check hide subscription tab from non admins click save to finish enable all users to create solutions unaric reports follows salesforce permissions in regard to users being able to create solutions (in salesforce terms, schedule reports ) however, you can override that permission and allow all users to create solutions navigate to configure > settings check enable all users to create solutions click save to finish enable admins to update storage folders admins are not allowed to change the folder for a storage provider such as google drive that is set on a solution unless they are the solution owner if you want admins to be able to edit these folders even if they are not the owner of the solution navigate to configure > settings check enable admins to update storage folders click save to finish disable solutions for users without soql access to user profile unaric reports looks at the permission schedule reports on the user's salesforce profile to determine whether they are allowed to create solutions in unaric reports however, there are times when the user doesn't have enough access to query the salesforce profile object to determine if they have the schedule reports permission in that case, unaric reports defaults permissions to allow them to create solutions to prevent these users from creating solutions navigate to configure > settings check disable solutions for users without soql access to user profile click save to finish enable pdf download only you can disable the ability to export reports as excel, excel formatted, and csv and only allows users to download or email reports as pdf files this restriction only applies to non admin users navigate to configure > settings check enable pdf download only click save to finish
