Reading Lists
reading lists allow you to group related help topics into structured, easily accessible steps that match use cases, as in the case of onboarding, announcements, or documentation for conducting specific processes each step is a help topic, in its own right, with rich text & media capabilities the reading list viewer can be used to launch a reading list into a light box or new tab to suit the context workflow create group help topics by theme, such as new hire onboarding or quarterly sales process share share via quick access menu, guides, or standalone links track track status ( draft , published , or archived ) and control visibility with the active checkbox attributes field description name descriptive title (e g , "case management essentials" ) summary brief overview visible to users (supports rich text) type categorize as reading list or help guide (for step by step workflows) visibility tag to filter by team/role (e g , "support," "sales" ) using sharing rules featured until optional date to highlight the list in the help portal (e g , for time sensitive updates) status track progress (e g , draft → published → archived ) active toggle to show/hide from end users create a reading list in the reading lists tab of the help portal , click the + (plus) icon to start creating a new list complete the following fields in the creation form name (required) a descriptive title for your reading list that will appear in listings summary a brief explanation of the list’s purpose or content type choose between reading list, for general content grouping and help guide, for step by step walkthroughs visibility used to filter access via data sharing rules featured until date for promoting the list in the help portal status lifecycle state, useful for tracking review or publishing workflows active enable this checkbox to make the list visible to users description a more detailed overview (rich text supported) click create in the reading list entries tab, click add entry search and select existing help topics, or create new ones reorder entries via drag and drop for logical flow
