you can link existing documentation such as reference and training materials hosted externally in a multiple systems, such as sharepoint, google drive, public websites or intranets this is an easy way of adding existing help into your org without having to rewrite all the content resources can be associated with one or more help topics and can be maintained via the help portal use cases link a how to create a lead pdf stored in sharepoint embed a training video hosted on your internal media server reference a glossary of terms maintained on an intranet page add external help resources link new resource in the resources tab of the help portal , click the tools icon from the tools menu's dropdown, select link new resource complete the following fields name (required) a unique and, ideally, brief name summary short description – to aid memory and other help authors’ understanding resource url (required) the web address for the resource, which much be accessible to the target audience resource type document / image / video / web page location any local name for the repository, such as intranet or sharepoint click the save button to finish always verify that the url is publicly accessible (or at least available to your target users) link existing resource in the resources tab, click the tools icon from the tools menu's dropdown, select link existing resource search by keyword; click the link icon on the required help resource
