NoticeBoards Setup
to finish setting up noticeboards, you need to allocate licences for users set sharing settings by configuring public groups and sharing rules allocate licences unaric guide is installed with named user licensing when deploying to a production org, licences need to be allocated to all users —both recipients and notice publishers— using the manage licences feature found within the salesforce org setup search for installed packages in salesforce, navigate to setup > installed packages find the unaric guide alerts (formerly improved noticeboard) package and click manage licences select the users to grant licences set sharing settings use permission sets for role based access and flexibility across users pair private sharing settings with public groups to strike the right balance between security and usability to ensure privacy and control, all core objects used by the alerts system (notices, noticeboards, notifications, etc ) are set to private by default to enable collaboration among publishing teams without exposing content broadly, unaric uses public groups and sharing rules these tools let organizations control who can publish notices , who can manage noticeboards , and who can track delivery and engagement 1\ create a public group for the publishing team if more than one user collaborates on a noticeboard (e g , drafting or approving notices), you should create a public group specific to that noticeboard each public group should include all users who will act as notice owners for that board use a consistent naming convention like nb training, nb compliance, or nb product marketing to keep publishing groups organized 2\ add data sharing settings for noticeboard objects once your public group is set up, configure sharing rules to allow collaboration on noticeboard related objects below is an example using a public group named nb training object sharing type rule access level noticeboard record owner public group = nb training read only notice record owner public group = nb training read/write notification criteria based notification\ noticeboard name = training, public group = nb training read/write recipient group record owner public group = nb training read/write roles role access required how to grant notice owner create and publish notices add to public group and assign sharing rules publishing team member draft or edit notices include in public group with read/write access administrator full access to all noticeboards assign the noticeboard administrator permission set
