Schedule Selections
This feature is available in Unaric Segment Enable, Plus, and Advanced.
If you don't see this feature, contact your Customer Success Manager for its arrangement.
Automatically run the selections at a specified date and time or frequency. Chained selections which are dependent on one another can be automatically run after one another.
Setup
To follow these steps, you need to be an admin in your environment.
Activating this feature requires installing an additional package in SFMC and create a support ticket to notify our support team and finish the installation.
- Hover over your user in SFMC, and go to Setup.
2. In the left panel, navigate to Platform Tools > Apps > Installed Packages.
- In the top right corner, click on New.
- Enter the following name and description, and click Save.
- Name: DESelect Automations
- Description: DESelect Segment Installed Package for Server 2 Server Authentication
- Inside the package components section, click Add Component
- In the form that pops up, select API Integration > Next > Server-to-Server > Next.
- In the scope page, activate all these checkboxes:
- Automation > Automations
- Read
- Write
- Execute
- Automation > Journeys
- Read
- Write
- Execute
- Activate/Stop/Pause/Resume/Send/Schedule
- Contacts > List and Subscribers
- Read
- Write
- Data > Data Extensions
- Read
- Write
- Click Save.
- Back in the Package details page, open the Access tab.
- Toggle the Enable Integration button for all Business Units in which Unaric Segment is used. You can also enable it for all existing Business Units, so you don't have to come back here if you expand Unaric Segment to others later on.
- To help our support them add some configurations on our side, go back to the Details tab, and copy the Client Id and Client Secret of your component.
- Email us this information to [email protected] and we'll finish the setup.
Schedule Selections
- On the Selection, click on Schedule Selection and switch the toggle on.
- Optionally, select a timezone when the Selection will automatically run.
- Choose between Once and Repeat options.
- Once: Select this option to run the Selection only once at a specified time and date. You can define the date and time when the Selection should automatically run.
- Repeat: Select this option to automatically run the Selection repeatedly or with a certain frequency. You can define how frequently the Selection should automatically run. Options for Hourly, Weekly, Daily, and Monthly are all available. In addition, the details of when the next running date and time are also indicated on the modal.
- Click Confirm. You will see that the Scheduling selection icon is now green, indicating that the schedule setting has been made.
In case the selection has failed to run, you will be notified via email.
View scheduled Selections
Upcoming scheduled run of Selections and Waterfall Selections are available
- In the Selections home page, click the Calendar icon on top of the page.
- The Calendar view for Selections pop-up will appear:
This is the master Calendar view. It will show you the next 100 scheduled runs. All the days that contain at least one scheduled Selection in it will be highlighted. If you click on a particular highlighted date, that day’s scheduling agenda will be displayed in ascending chronological order.
If you click on one of the scheduled Selections, a new page will display showing you the run time details.
The same will apply to the Calendar view for Waterfall Selections, which is a separate Calendar that you can find on the Home page of Waterfall Selections page.
Calendar view for one specific Selection
Go back to the Home page of Selections and look for that one Selection that you need the scheduling details for.
Click the scheduling icon and the Calendar view for that specific Selection will appear.
Each Business Unit have its own Calendar view, containing all the schedules for the Selections/Waterfall Selections regardless of who created or scheduled them.
