Filters
Filters are specific rules applied to the fields of your selected data sources to segment and refine your target audience.
How it works
You apply filters in the Selection Criteria step by dragging a field from the Available Fields section into the Filters section. Once added, you can choose from a wide variety of filter types to evaluate your data, such as Equals, Contains, Is empty, or dynamic date filters like In previous and In next. There is no limit to how many filters you can create.
For more complex segmentation, you can combine multiple filters into groups and define their relationships using AND and OR logical statements. To save time on recurring campaigns, administrators can also configure Filter Sets, which act as reusable, predefined collections of filters that can be dragged and dropped into a Selection at once.
Unaric Segment is not case-sensitive in the filter values used inside a Selection. For example, the words Value and VALUE are treated as equals.
Filter Data Extensions
- In the Input step, Configure the Data Extensions you want to work with and click on Filters to open the Filter Section.
- Select a field from the Available Fields section that you would like to filter on.
- Drag-and-drop it to the right, to the Selected Fields section.
- Choose filter criteria.
- You can group filters by hovering the + icon, which will indicate which filter lines will be grouped together when clicking. Don't forget to set the AND / OR criteria for your filter grouping.
Select multiple values from a picklist
This feature is available in Unaric Segment Advanced.
You can select multiple values from a ṕicklist if the filter type is either Contains, Does Not Contain, In, or Not In. To select multiple values, click on the wanted values.
You should be able to see the number of selected values below the dropdown field.
