help authors can add feedback options to help topics to gather user sentiment and improve the quality of help content over time encourage and respond to user comments to improve content over time reward user contributions to encourage collaboration how it works vote sets are customizable groups of voting options that appear at the end of help topics vote sets allow users to indicate whether the content was useful, unclear, or in need of improvement you can apply different vote sets to different help topics depending on the type of feedback you want to collect and set up predefined responses example vote set configurations purpose options general usefulness helpful, not helpful clarity clear, confusing content depth too much detail, just right, not enough detail engagement relevant, not relevant add feedback tracking to help topics 1\ create vote set in the help portal , find the help topic you want to update click the icon and select edit go to the status tab within the help topic editor and locate the vote set field click maintain vote sets a new tab will open with the list of available vote sets click the new button complete the fields name (required) name for your vote set use a name that helps identify its purpose (e g , “content clarity feedback”) question text the question to present to users when offering the help vote options from which to select image url of an image to use in this help vote set click save 2\ set vote options in the help vote set object page, click the arrow icon on help vote options and select new complete the fields help vote set (required ) the set of help vote options to which this entry belongs help vote option name (required) the option name option label the text to display to the user when presenting this option category a category into which vote options can be grouped for broader analysis (such as sentiment tracking) across vote sets display order defines the order in which to present help vote options within their vote set image url of an image for this option option colour (hex) web/css colour expressed as rgb hex used to present or report this option under certain circumstances click save to finish or save & new to continue creating additional options 3\ assign the vote set to a help topic the next step is to associate your vote sets with the relevant help topics, you can add the same vote set to all help topics or you can attach different vote sets to different help topics open the help topic object click the icon and select edit go to the status tab within the help topic editor and locate the vote set field select the vote set you just created click save to finish you can of use the help topics tab to manage your help topics in mass in salesforce list views (use existing ones or create your own) and therefor easily apply vote sets to multiple help topics through the mass update feature of list views
