This version introduces enhancements designed to make managing Help content and Reading Lists more intuitive, flexible, and efficient.
New features
- Easier ways to build Reading Lists. You can now add existing Help Topics directly into your Reading Lists using a new tree tool. Search and select from available topics—no need to create new entries from scratch.
- Quickly link topics to existing Reading Lists. A new header tool on the portal page allows you to easily connect the current topic to an existing Reading List. Just select a list, and the topic is automatically added as the latest entry.
- Stay oriented with a floating Highlights panel. A new floating Highlights panel stays visible as you scroll, making it easy to keep key information in view while exploring the rest of the page.
- Help Acknowledgement tracking. We’ve introduced a Help Acknowledgement feature, allowing users to confirm they’ve read important Help Topics. Acknowledgements are tracked for reporting, can be customised, and—once completed—cannot be repeated.
Improvements
- Seamless Reading List switching. Authors and users with higher permissions can now switch between Reading Lists directly from the Reading List Viewer. Select a list from the menu, and it will instantly load as your default view.
- Improved Reading List creation flow. Creating a new Reading List is now more intuitive. When you click the “+” button, you’ll be prompted to name your list first—then it’s created and automatically includes the current topic as its first entry.
- Pin your default Reading List. You can now pin a preferred Reading List in the Viewer. Once pinned, it will automatically load as your default, saving you time and keeping your workflow consistent.
- More flexible Context Help configuration. The Context Help Wizard now supports Lightning App-specific configurations. This means you can tailor Help content for different apps without overwriting existing setups—giving you greater control and flexibility.

- Enhanced drag and drop footprint for tree restructuring, allowing dragging from any part of a tree node.
- Filtered the "delete", "hoist", and "add peer" tools from the root node where they are not relevant.
- Improved behaviour when adding child nodes to ensure they are correctly selected after creation, including cases involving author configurations.
- Improved handling of recursion-related errors by detecting issues client-side and rebuilding trees with enforced limits when necessary.
- Removed unnecessary tools from the search listing in the tree builder tab of the Improved Help for Lightning app.
