establish rules for notice delivery based on triggers within salesforce create automation rules in the improved noticeboard app, navigate to the automation rules tab click the new button complete the following fields as required automation rule name a unique name to identify the automation rule description add a description for context on the business purpose of the rule notice template (required) the predefined notice template that defines the message format and structure object message template allows rich text customization of the notification body, with merge fields for dynamic data rule triggering object (required) the salesforce object that triggers the automation rule (e g , account, opportunity, case) recipients definition – method of defining who receives the notice (via triggering object or notice template) select recipient defining field – if using triggering object, you select which field determines the recipients recurrence (required) \ the maximum number of times the automation will run to a given user conditions (field / operator / value) – criteria for when the rule fires click save to finish run rules manually in the improved noticeboard app, navigate to the automation rules tab find the rule you want to run and click the tools button next to it select run to finish schedule rules establish schedule rules to activate automation rules according to a defined timeline, rather than having them run manually use cases include onboarding delay activation of rules until the start date of a new onboarding cycle campaigns prepare communication or notification rules in advance, scheduling them to go live with a campaign launch system updates schedule rules to align with releases or other workflow changes schedule rules run all your active automation rules you cannot activate or deactivate them individually set schedule rules go to noticeboard for salesforce navigate to the automation rules tab click the schedule rules button at the top right of the rules table select frequency, date and time click save to finish abort schedule in the automation rules tab, click the abort schedule button click confirm this will abort all set up batches deactivate or delete rule in the improved noticeboard app, navigate to the automation rules tab click the tools button next to the rule to open the dropdown menu and select deactivate or delete click confirm to finish clone rule in the improved noticeboard app, navigate to the automation rules tab click the tools button next to the rule to open the dropdown menu and select clone
