this update brings several new features and improvements to the elton desktop and mobile app versions what's new global equipment map now you can visualize and manage your equipment assignments, reservations, and loans on a map for better logistics planning add the tab "equipment map" to your users to grant access to this new equipment map e signature pad capture signatures electronically for maintenance activities directly within elton we have introduct a new action button called "maintain and sign" that can be added to the equipment page layout this button includes the ability to add a signature to the maintenance record when saved this button would replace the existing maintain button if you choose to use the signature functionality, otherwise you can continue to use the existing maintain button the signatures are captured and saved as an attachment to the equipment maintenance record mobile signature capture capture customer signatures on loan return transactions via the mobile app we have added a new custom setting under the elton logic control settings named "enable customer signature" if checked, the signature pad will display on the mobile device for the equipment return new calendar interface the equipment calendar now has a cleaner and more streamlined interface calendar fieldset we have also added a new fieldset for the calendar that can be found on the equipment object currently you can use the fieldset to define a field that displays after the equipment id field as the secondary field currently this field defaults to the equipment description field as in previous releases equipment scan equipment fields we have added a new parameter "equipment fields" on the equipment scan lwc component to specify the equipment fields to display and update on the return of equipment currently the default field is the equipment status field, but you can add or remove fields as required updated setup page we have updated the elton setup tab page within the application the bottom of the page now contains a section with links to the new documentation site, an updated support email address, and the new website for elton the links to the historical documents remain, but we recommend using the new product documentation site
