call transfer allows you to redirect an active phone call to another number or user this feature is only available while a call is active and is supported by unaric voice through a blind transfer method the call transfer has to be enabled in salesforce's call center adapter how it works call transfer enables users to move an ongoing call to another phone or user extension there are two types of call transfers announced transfer (warm transfer) the caller is placed on hold while you notify the receiving party before completing the transfer unannounced transfer (blind transfer) the call is transferred immediately, without notifying the recipient currently, unaric voice supports only blind transfers when using the softphone if you're using a physical desk phone, both announced and blind transfers may be available, depending on your phone system blind transfer a blind transfer is a call without notifying the desired party/extension of the impending call is transferred to their line, typing in the phone number and terminating the call during an active call, click the transfer button (light blue icon on the left) enter the destination number or search for a salesforce user by first or last name click the red phone icon on the right to complete the transfer the call is immediately transferred to the selected party without prior notification the exact behavior of the transfer function depends on your pbx system and tapi driver
