Use AI and CRM tools to help you understand and respond emails.
## AI tools
You can use the AI to draft email responses directly within Outlook. You will find it in Unaric Sidebar under **Tools**. The default LLM provider is ChatGPT. However, if you use the Salesforce connector and have a Salesforce Einstein AI license, this will be the default AI.

Use AI to create a new email draft with your instructions. Clicking **Compose Email** opens a new Outlook tab for finishing writing the email draft.

### Translate
Translate the full email. You can select several languages. The Unaric Sidebar language will be the default.

### Ask
The **Ask ChatGPT **and** Ask Einstein AI **button offers direct access from your mailbox to query the LLM. This option is perfect for research, brainstorming, or getting quick answers.

When using **Ask**, neither ChatGPT and Einstein AI have access to your email inbox or any other information from your account. Therefore, it won't answer questions about your emails. To have AI interact with your email data, use the [Analyze Email](docId\:JhOvww4cBwefnH_DIqDTX) feature.

## CRM tools
Select your CRM in the **Tools **section to interact with it from your inbox.

### Auto-sync
This button takes you to the [Enable Sync](docId\:evcBJWGYlkN-hsQzg3Zeh) page.
If auto-sync is already enabled, this button displays the current status of your sync. Clicking opens a summary displaying the specific status for Email, Calendar, and Contacts individually, and an **Open Sync Settings** link.

The **Auto Sync** button uses color-coded visual indicators to convey sync health:
| Indicator | Meaning | Status Message Example |
| ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------- |
| **Green, pulsing** | A sync operation is actively running | *Email sync running* |
| **Green** | All syncs completed successfully | *Last synced 5 mins ago* |
| **Amber** | A sync is inactive because an account is not connected | *Calendar sync not running* |
| **Red** | A sync operation failed | *Calendar sync failed* |
| **Grey** | The add-in is reconnecting to the status service | *Reconnecting - this may be out of date* |

If sync states differ across Email, Calendar, and Contacts, the **Auto Sync** button displays the most critical status in order of priority: **Failed** > **Not running** > **Running** > **Last synced**.
