Unaric Scan allows you to use your mobile device camera to scan barcodes (1D and 2D barcodes, including QR codes) and create, update, or open records in the Salesforce mobile app.

## How it works

When you scan a barcode, Unaric Scan will search for matching records based on the fields you've previously designated as scannable in your Salesforce org. If it finds a match, it will open the corresponding record in the Salesforce mobile app. If there are multiple matches, Scan will display a list of options so you can choose the correct record. You can enable scanning for any Salesforce object by adding custom fields using an API name. 

 You can set scannable fields on any Salesforce object, such as standard objects like Account or Contact, custom objects you created, and objects from a Managed Package.

Scan has three main features:

- **Scan & Open: **Find a matching record in Salesforce and open that record in the Salesforce mobile app.
- **Scan & Create Task: **Add barcode scanning to any Flow, and process the resulting scans as you see fit.
- **Scan Product from Opportunity: **Add products to an Opportunity by scanning barcodes or QR codes using their mobile device.
