Unaric Payments provides out-of-the-box QR code generation for Payment and Authorisation records. QR codes offer a convenient and efficient way for customers to make payments or provide their bank details for future use. By scanning a QR code with their mobile device, customers can quickly access the payment page without manually entering information.

## How it works

1. **Add QR Code Field to Page Layouts:** Add the "QR Code" field to the Payment and Authorisation page layouts in Salesforce. (See setup steps below.)
2. **Create Payment Record:** Create a Payment record in Unaric Payments as you normally would.
3. **Access and Share QR Code:** The generated QR code will be displayed on the record. You can share this QR code with your customers through various channels (e.g., email, print, display on a screen).
4. **Customer Scan:** When your customer scans the QR code, they will be redirected to the corresponding Payment or Authorisation page where they can securely enter their payment details.

## Setup

To enable QR code payments, you must add the "QR Code" field to the appropriate page layouts in Salesforce. Follow these steps for both the Payment and Authorisation objects:

1. In Salesforce, navigate to **Setup > Object Manager**.
2. Locate and select either the **Payment** or **Authorisation** object.
3. In the left-hand navigation menu, click **Page Layouts**.
4. Select the page layout you want to modify (e.g., the default layout).
5. In the layout editor, drag the **QR Code** field from the palette onto the desired section of the layout.
6. Click **Save** to finish. Once the field is added to the page layouts, the QR code will be automatically generated and displayed on new Payment and Authorisation records.
