Setting up Unaric Guide consist of multiple steps. First, you will need to install two separate packages and define specific user permissions. Once the core installation is complete, you will be guided through additional configurations tailored to your business requirements for each of the Unaric Guide features.

## 1. Installation

Unaric Guide consist of two listings you need to install: **Alerts** and **Train**.

1. Install the [Unaric Guide (Alerts)](https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N30000005ueMvEAI) and [Unaric Guide](https://login.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tak000000Olgv) packages.
2. Log in to the desired destination Salesforce org as a System Administrator and select the environment for the installation.
3. Check the** Terms and Conditions **box and click **Confirm and Install**.
4. Select one of the following installation security options:
   - **Install for Admins Only**: Controlled roll-out (especially in any Production Orgs)
   - **Install for all Users**: For product evaluation (typically in Sandbox or Development Orgs)
   - **Install for Specific Profiles**: Select which specific profiles can have access to the package.

### User permissions

:::hint{type="success"}
Permission Sets are preferred for individual users, but you can use **Profiles** for larger groups.
:::

Each functional area—**NoticeBoards** and **Embedded Help**—has its own Permission Sets model. These permission sets are additive and can be assigned based on the user's role.

| **Permission Set**            | **Description**                                                                                                             |
| ----------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Notice Recipient** | Grants users the ability to receive and interact with Notices. Most users in your org will have this. |
| **Notice Owner** | Allows users to create and publish Notices within NoticeBoards they have access to. |
| **NoticeBoard Owner** | Allows users to manage the configuration of specific NoticeBoards, including publishing policies and themes. |
| **NoticeBoard Administrator** | Grants full administrative access to all NoticeBoards and Notices across the org. Use this only for trusted administrators. |

:::hint{type="warning"}
Permissions are hierarchic:

- A **NoticeBoard Administrator** automatically enjoys all privileges of a **NoticeBoard Owner**.
- A** NoticeBoard Owner** is automatically a** Notice Owner**.
- A **Notice Owner** is automatically afforded Recipient rights.
