10. Select Contacts that are known Subscribers

note the scenario below uses data from the deselect demo data package see docid 5 cozdtg0nwmlmeufrmbz scenario you want to get the first and last name of all contacts in a data extension that are already subscribers in marketing cloud https //www youtube com/watch?v=s8tz3ej udq\&list=plfs7 dts7jwyhwe scy5z4qvgbh2ilspj\&index=10 or follow the steps below first off, you need to make sure at least a few of the emails from the source data extension are added as subscribers we are using deselect demo contacts as a source data extension here look at the records in this data extension and add some of the emails as subscribers in marketing cloud alternatively, you can add existing subscribers to the deselect demo contacts data extension 1\ input on the selections overview screen, click on new to create a new selection drag deselect demo contacts to the selected data extensions section drag data view subscribers on top of deselect demo contacts in the selected data extensions section create the relationship deselect demo contacts field emails deselect demo contacts with matching subscribers subscribers field subscriberkey 2\ output hit the create data extension button, enter a name, eg known subscribers, and press save select the following fields by either double clicking on them or dragging them to the section on the right first name, last name from contacts email from subscribers click save data extension note if you are not getting any results, make sure that you have emails in your subscribers list that are also in deselect demo contacts 3\ preview when you click run preview on the preview screen, a results table will be shown with fields first name, last name, email the results table shows only contacts that are also subscribers
