1. Contact Interaction Report
the first step is to build a contact interaction report that shows the emails currently sent to your audience, along with their engagement metrics your target data extension will include the following fields contact id emails sent emails opened emails clicked 1\ create the selection and define the source data in deselect segment, create a new selection name it contact interaction report and save it in the folder you created for the whole solution drag your master customer data extension (in this case, deselect demo customers) into selected data extensions without any other filter 2\ create data extension in the target definition , click create data extension configure the new data extension as follows (note that you can choose the location of your preference) click save and add the id of the customer de into the target data extension 3\ create aggregations for emails sent scroll down to the custom values section and click add new value name it emails sent , choose aggregation and click next in the new window, complete fields with the following information aggregation function count number of repocrds field to apply the aggregation sent, jobid relation to results subscriberkey matches with the id of your master data extension of customers to simplify this process, you can set predefined relations between your contacts data extension and the sent and open data views, so you’ll have access to a simplified screen when creating the aggregation click edit filters and choose the timespan that you want to check in this case, to limit it to 2 emails every 10 days, set 10 days if you want to exclude emails from counting (transactional emails or specific campaigns), make sure to add the specific filters you need to exclude them here save your custom value and drag it into the target data extension 4\ add emails opened and emails clicked repeat the steps above, with only two changes use the relevant fields from the open and click data views name the values emails opened and emails clicked once you’ve done it, you should have something like below click save data extension > create save your selection and run it to finish apart from building the saturation control tool of this guide, you can use the previous selection to review the current pressure you are doing over your audience, and much more you can create a copy of the selection, change the time frame you are reviewing to 3 months, and get insights like rank users by engagement (higher emails open / emails clicked rate) get the avg email frequency you have, and review if the or is higher with different emails sent values get the inactive users to trigger retrieve campaigns or exclude them from email sends and try other channels
